Beyond the Center
SURPRISE POP-UP EPISODE #24 NOW AVAILABLE!
Every other Sunday we will explore beyond our perceived reality, into the short stories of some of the best authors of classic science fiction and dark fantasy.
Beyond the Center will be taking a break for the next few weeks, so there will be no new episodes during that time. I hope that you will take this opportunity to listen to some of the episodes you may not have had the chance to listen to yet, while narrator Ross Freier focuses on some other voice acting projects he is currently working on.

Beyond the Center
"Glow Worm" by Harlan Ellison
A man named Seligman, the subject of numerous experiments resulting in near indestructibility, is on a mission to deliver a message from a dead world.
"Glow Worm" was first published in the February 1956 edition of Infinity Science Fiction. Harlan Ellison was a prolific writer of many short stories and novellas within the realm of speculative fiction, while also writing various episodes for the television shows The Outer Limits, Star Trek, and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. Ellison was also the person who created the term "Speculative Fiction", as a way to avoid being pigeonholed as a writer, as well as to expand the boundaries of so-called science-fiction stories which had little to do with actual science.
