"Glow Worm" by Harlan Ellison

Ross Freier Season 1 Episode 4

A man named Seligman, the subject of numerous experiments resulting in near indestructibility, is on a mission to deliver a message from a dead world.

"Glow Worm" was first published in the February 1956 edition of Infinity Science Fiction. Harlan Ellison was a prolific writer of many short stories and novellas within the realm of speculative fiction, while also writing various episodes for the television shows The Outer Limits, Star Trek, and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. Ellison was also the person who created the term "Speculative Fiction", as a way to avoid being pigeonholed as a writer, as well as to expand the boundaries of so-called science-fiction stories which had little to do with actual science.
